A large share of map searches in Bursa are made for business: a buyer visiting a facility, an account representative collecting samples or a driver coming to pick up a load finds the company via the map. Add to this furniture and home textile buyers from out of town, winter and thermal tourism guests, and everyday searches within the city.
The historic bazaar and hans of Osmangazi, the newer neighbourhoods of Nilüfer, the busy residential areas of Yıldırım and the university area in Görükle each have their own search pattern. That is why we start map work in Bursa with the question “who is looking for you on the map?”. A shop selling to consumers and a factory receiving visitors are not set up with the same logic.
Within the city, neighbourhoods also behave differently. In the Kapalıçarşı and hans area, getting the pin onto the right door in narrow streets and writing the han’s name correctly in the address matter most. In Görükle, searches for student food, stationery and courses rise and fall with the academic calendar; in Nilüfer’s new residential areas, neighbourhood businesses such as clinics, hair salons and children’s courses are chosen by proximity.
