Meta Ads — Facebook, Instagram, Threads, WhatsApp
We manage Facebook, Instagram, Threads and WhatsApp from a single ad account. With AI-assisted targeting and creative testing, we build campaigns that generate demand.
We set up the ads people see on Instagram and Facebook, and follow and fine-tune them every day.
What are Meta Ads and where do they run?
Meta's ad network is managed from a single ad account — from the Facebook feed and Reels to the Instagram feed, Stories and Reels, the Threads feed and WhatsApp. The same budget can be distributed automatically to the surface where the audience is.
What we do
- Ad account, Business Manager and pixel/Conversions API setup
- Audience strategy: remarketing, lookalike and broad targeting
- Creative production — image, video and copy variations
- Setting up Advantage+ campaigns and comparing them with manual campaigns
- Catalog and messaging (WhatsApp) campaigns
AI support
We use AI-assisted tools in campaign setup and daily optimization: audience breakdowns, creative variations, bidding strategy and budget allocation are managed together with the platform's machine-learning signals. The decision is ours; the execution and testing volume are left to AI.
How we measure
- Cost per conversion and conversion volume
- Return on ad spend (ROAS)
- Performance breakdown by creative
- Distribution by audience and placement
Budget and ad spend
The package fee is a management service; the ad budget paid to the platform is separate and spent directly from your own account. We set the ad budget together and show the spending item by item in the report.
Advertising on Instagram: campaign objectives
Every campaign on Meta is launched with an objective, and the platform shows the ad to the people closest to that objective. The wrong objective brings the wrong result, even when it reaches the right audience.
- Awareness: Showing the brand to as many people as possible.
- Traffic: Driving visits to the site or profile.
- Engagement: Video views, post engagement, or conversations started on WhatsApp and Instagram.
- Leads: Collecting contact details with an in-app form.
- Sales: Conversions such as purchases and add-to-carts on the site; catalog ads run with this objective.
What determines the cost of Instagram ads?
Ad space on Meta is sold by auction; the amount paid per impression or click isn't fixed. The main factors affecting cost:
- The size of the target audience and the number of advertisers trying to reach the same audience
- Timing: competition rises during sales seasons and public holidays
- The quality of the creative and how the audience responds to the ad
- The campaign objective selected
That's why we plan the budget not as a fixed figure but around the target cost per result. Because Facebook and Instagram ads are managed from the same ad account, budget can be shifted to the surface delivering results more cheaply.
How do you advertise on Instagram? From account setup to your first ad
Instagram ads are set up in Meta Ads Manager through a Meta ad account linked to your Instagram account. The in-app “Boost” button also runs ads, but because its objective, measurement and creative testing options are limited, we use Ads Manager for campaigns aimed at sales or leads.
For a business starting from scratch, the setup order is as follows:
- A business portfolio is created in Meta Business Suite, and the Facebook Page and Instagram account are connected to it.
- An ad account is created under the portfolio, and the currency and time zone are selected. Since changing these two settings later is a hassle, they should be entered correctly the first time.
- A payment method and billing details are added.
- If you have a website, the domain is verified and the Meta Pixel and Conversions API are set up; events such as purchases, form submissions and add-to-cart are tested in Events Manager.
- The agency and your team are given role-based access through the portfolio, without sharing any personal account passwords.
It is possible to launch a campaign before these steps are complete, but it is not recommended: without the Pixel, the platform cannot learn who is buying, and the budget drifts towards people who click but do not purchase.
Common setup mistakes
- Running ads from an account tied to a personal Facebook profile and created outside the portfolio: when the employee leaves, access to the account can be lost.
- Choosing the wrong currency: billing and reporting run on this choice all year.
- Installing the Pixel twice, both in the theme and through a plugin: purchases are counted twice and reports are inflated.
- Leaving only one admin in the business portfolio: if something happens to that person’s account, all assets can be locked. At least two trusted admins should be set up.
Why is your ad stuck in review or rejected?
Meta reviews every ad against its Advertising Standards before it goes live; the review usually finishes within 24 hours, and during this time the ad shows as “In review”. The reason for a rejection is shown in Ads Manager and on the Account Quality screen; you can fix the ad and resubmit it, or request another review with an explanation.
Common reasons for rejection
- Directly addressing personal attributes: sentences that assume a person’s health condition, weight or financial situation.
- Before-and-after images and promises of guaranteed results in health and beauty ads.
- The offer in the ad not matching the landing page, or the page not loading.
- Running ads about financial products, employment, housing or social and political issues without declaring a Special Ad Category; some targeting options are restricted in these categories.
In sensitive sectors such as healthcare providers, clinics and finance, we check the copy and visuals against this list before publishing. Because repeated rejections can affect the overall standing of the account, we do not submit ads with a let’s-just-try-it approach.
The first 90 days of Meta ads management
The first three months are spent feeding the account the right data and finding out which audience and creative combinations work. During this period we look at weekly rather than daily trends, because frequent major changes send the ad set back into the learning phase.
First 30 days
The measurement setup is verified and, if there is an existing account, its historical data is reviewed. We start with a small number of campaigns, running several creatives side by side in each. The threshold Meta gives for the learning phase is around 50 optimisation events within seven days of the last significant edit; budget and objective are set up to get close to this threshold.
Days 30–60
Creatives that are not delivering are paused, and the message that works well is multiplied with new image and video variations. Retargeting audiences start to build from people who visit your site and send you messages.
Days 60–90
Budget is shifted to campaigns whose cost per result stays below target. At this point, comparing Advantage+ with a manual setup produces meaningful data. Alongside spend, results and cost per result, the monthly report includes a section on what we tested, what we learned and what we will do next month.
What is in the monthly report?
We prepare the report not as a screenshot of the ads dashboard but as a document that drives decisions. It includes the period’s spend and results, the change versus the previous month, the best and weakest creatives, the audience and placement breakdown, rejected or restricted ads and the reasons, any measurement issues spotted, and the test plan for the following month. If there is feedback from your sales team, lead quality is also noted separately.
