A digital agency is a team that runs, under one plan, the work that gets a business found online, chosen over competitors and contacted: the website, search engine visibility, Google Maps, social media, advertising, visual identity and video. That is the core of what people look for when they search for a digital marketing agency or an advertising agency; the difference lies in which channel carries most of the weight.
Most businesses that reach us through a search for an Istanbul advertising agency describe the same problem: the phone isn’t ringing, forms aren’t coming in, or the enquiries that do arrive are not the right customers. Our first job is to find which link in the chain is missing. Sometimes the problem is not the ads but the website, and sometimes it is not the website but the Google Business Profile. That is all a so-called 360 digital agency really means: not switching on every channel at once, but tying every channel you do open to the same goal.
The right starting point depends on where your business stands today: if you have no website, start with the website; if you sell to people nearby, start with Maps; if you have a site but get no visitors from Google, start with SEO. The list below covers the situations we see most often and the right first step for each.
If you need enquiries quickly, ad management is added alongside one of these steps. Advertising works efficiently when it drives traffic to a foundation that is already in place.
If more than one situation applies to you, the order is set by dependencies, not budget. Until the website works properly, SEO and ads deliver less; social media designs produced before the brand identity is settled have to be redone a few months later. So we put the work that doesn’t fit into the first month in sequence and write down from the start which task is waiting on which.
When the services share the same goal, they feed each other: design supplies the visuals for ads, video supplies content for social media, and the website is the destination for both SEO and ads. When they are managed separately, the most common problem is that each one measures a different kind of success.
Say a dental clinic in Kadıköy wants more appointments for implant treatment. The services and photos on its Maps profile are updated, a dedicated implant page is added to the website, SEO shapes that page around the queries people actually type, and short videos of the dentist explaining the treatment are shared on social media. When the ads go live, clicks land on a page that is already prepared. Every channel measures the same thing: appointment requests.
That is why we set up measurement jointly from the start. GA4 and Google Search Console connections, form submission and phone click conversions are tracked in one place. The monthly report shows side by side what was done on each channel and which channel brought in enquiries.
When choosing an agency, look at how it works rather than what it promises: who will do what, what will be measured, whose name the accounts will be opened in and how often reports will arrive should all be in writing. Proposals that include guarantees such as “we’ll get you onto page one” misrepresent the nature of the work.
Questions we suggest asking in the meeting:
The first month with us usually runs in this order: the existing website, accounts and measurement setup are reviewed; missing conversion tracking is fixed; goals and priorities are written down together; then the first content calendar, the first technical fixes or the first campaign go live. At the end of the month you receive a report showing the work done and the plan for the following month. Briefly describe your situation in the quote request form, and we will work out together which service is the right place to start.
