SEO packages and pricing: which package suits whom, and how to choose an SEO agency

SEO packages and pricing: which package suits whom, and how to choose an SEO agency

Looking only at the monthly fee is misleading when comparing SEO packages. What an SEO service should include, the prices of our three packages, what drives the cost and the questions to ask an agency.

When comparing SEO packages, most business owners look at the monthly fee first. Yet two SEO packages at the same price can contain completely different work: one just sends an automated report, while the other fixes technical problems on your site, writes content and earns links from trustworthy websites. In this article we explain what an SEO service should include, present AGO’s three SEO packages with their prices, look at what determines SEO pricing and list the questions you should ask when choosing an SEO agency. Our goal is not to sell you a package but to help you understand what you are paying for, whichever offer you accept.

What should an SEO package include?

Whatever the package is called, effective SEO work covers the following:

  • Technical audit and fixes: not just listing problems, but fixing them or making it clear who will. Speed, mobile friendliness, indexing errors, redirects, sitemap.
  • Keyword selection and tracking: agreeing together which searches you want to appear for and monitoring your position in them regularly.
  • On-page optimization: page titles, search result descriptions, heading structure and links between pages.
  • Content production: blog posts and service pages that answer the questions your customers actually ask.
  • Authority building: earning links naturally from relevant and trustworthy websites.
  • Reporting: sharing what was done and what the results are in a way that someone without technical knowledge can understand.

In any proposal you should be able to see clearly which of these are included and which are not. Vague phrases like “comprehensive SEO work” or “full optimization package” do not tell you what you are paying for.

The table below compares our three SEO packages side by side. Prices are monthly fees as of September 2026, VAT included; you can always find the current price on our SEO service page.

Package 2 is our most popular package. Package 2 includes everything in Package 1, and Package 3 includes everything in Package 2.

Which SEO package suits which business?

Package 1: for strengthening the foundations

A sensible starting point for businesses that serve one area, offer a limited number of services and work in a field where competition is not fierce. Fixing technical problems, structuring pages properly and producing content regularly make a difference on most small sites. However, this package does not include authority (backlink) work or competitor analysis; if your competitors are strong, well-established sites, Package 1 on its own may not be enough.

Package 2: for businesses that want steady growth

Suitable for businesses with several services, facing moderate competition and wanting SEO to become one of their main customer channels. Competitor analysis shows which searches competitors lead in and why, while authority work and the monthly strategy meeting let you set the direction of the work together.

Package 3: for competitive industries and large sites

Designed for sites with many product or service pages, online stores and highly competitive sectors such as healthcare, law or finance. More content, broader keyword tracking, advanced technical SEO and digital PR are genuine needs for these sites. Weekly reporting makes it easier to react quickly to changes.

Maybe you do not need an SEO package yet

To be honest, a monthly SEO package is not every business’s first step:

  • If almost all your customers come from “near me” type searches, focusing on your Google Business Profile first may make more sense. Our monthly Google Maps SEO packages are 2.000, 2.500 and 3.000 ₺ (as of September 2026, VAT included; the current price is on the relevant service page).
  • If your site is very old, slow or broken on mobile, renewing the foundation first may be more efficient than months of SEO on top of it.
  • If you need sales within the next few weeks, SEO will not close that gap in time; advertising is the better short-term tool.

What determines SEO pricing?

You will find SEO prices ranging from a few thousand lira a month to very high amounts. The main factors behind the difference are:

  1. Competition: if you face established, strong sites for the searches you target, more content and authority work are needed.
  2. Site size: a technical audit of a five-page corporate site does not take the same effort as one for an online store with thousands of products.
  3. Content needs: the number of articles or pages produced each month is one of the most visible cost items. Well-researched content takes far more time than a quickly written text.
  4. Technical debt: broken links, redirect errors, duplicate pages and slow infrastructure that have piled up over the years make the first months of work heavier.
  5. Target region and language: appearing in one city in one language is a different workload from appearing in several cities or languages.

That is why a very low price is not always an advantage. If the monthly fee is too low to cover a reasonable share of the work above, usually either the work is not being done or risky shortcuts are being taken.

Questions to ask when choosing an SEO agency

The “best SEO agency” is not the same for everyone; the right agency is the one that fits your industry, budget and expectations. Ask these questions in the meeting:

  • What exactly will be done in the first month? Who will implement the technical fixes?
  • Which keywords will be tracked, and will we decide on them together?
  • Who writes the content, and will my approval be requested before publishing?
  • How is backlink work done, and will I be able to see which sites the links come from?
  • What will the report include: rankings only, or business results such as visitors and enquiries (forms, calls) too?
  • In whose name will Search Console, analytics and other accounts be set up? Will I keep access when the work ends?
  • Is there a minimum term, and how much notice is needed to cancel?

Red flags: stay away from these promises

  • Guaranteed rankings: promises like “first page guaranteed in two months” are not realistic. Google states clearly that no outsider can guarantee rankings.
  • Hidden backlink networks: work that does not show which sites links come from and says “we have our own network” usually relies on bought or artificial links. This goes against Google’s spam policies and can do lasting damage to your site.
  • Work without reports: a service that sends only an invoice at the end of the month, without explaining what was done, makes it impossible to know how much effort really went in.
  • Showing success only for your brand name: ranking first for your own company name is expected anyway; what really matters is visibility in service searches.
  • Keeping accounts from you: your site’s data belongs to you. Parting ways with an agency that does not give you access becomes difficult.

What to expect on duration and contracts

SEO is work whose results show up over months, not weeks. So trying it for one month and stopping rarely gives a fair assessment. We explain how the process unfolds on a new site in our article SEO on a new site: the first 90 days.

On the other hand, before committing for a long period, make sure the contract states in writing: what is included in the package, how often you will receive reports, who owns the content and accounts, the term of the work and the cancellation conditions. If you are considering working with us, you are welcome to ask us all of these questions at the proposal stage too.

Frequently asked questions

Do the SEO package prices include VAT?

The SEO package prices in this article are monthly amounts as of September 2026, VAT included. You can find the current price on our SEO service page.

What is the difference between SEO consulting and an SEO package?

SEO consulting usually means guidance, while your own team carries out the work. With an SEO package, tasks such as technical fixes, content production and monitoring are handled by the service provider. Consulting suits organisations with their own development and content teams; a hands-on package suits businesses without them.

What is enterprise SEO, and do I need it?

Enterprise SEO usually refers to broader work on large sites with many pages, several departments or multiple languages. A business with a handful of service pages does not need it; site size and competition determine the need.

Is an ad budget included in the SEO package?

SEO work involves no per-click ad spend, so the packages contain no ad budget. Google Ads management is a separate service, and its ad budget is paid separately.
